Get started

You can make a working request in a few minutes, without moving any money. Do these three things in order.

  1. Get a test key. Every tenant has test keys from the start. A test key can only touch test data.
  2. Make your first request. Copy a snippet in curl, TypeScript, PHP, Python or Go, and list your events.
  3. Read the response. Every response uses the same envelope, and every error has the same shape.

When the request works, pick a product. The products page lists all nine. If you want to stream video, go straight to the Streams quickstart. Then read the concepts that apply to how you plan to integrate, and switch to a live key.

What you need

  • A Vabu OS tenant. A tenant is your account.
  • A secret key that starts with vk_test_.
  • The API host, https://api.vabu.live.

Keep secret keys on your server

A secret key can read and write everything it is scoped to. Do not put one in a browser app or a mobile app. Use a publishable key there.
